ABOUT
Generations was a project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and delivered by Faceless Arts in early 2017 with the people of Ferrybridge.
Looking at life in the shadow of one of the last coal fired power stations in Yorkshire, the project aimed to uncover what it was like living near these imposing cooling towers, to explore working life in a coal fired power station and to discover the communities surrounding the station as it closed its doors and undergoes the transformation to a multifuel plant .

We did this through research, creative workshops, community reminiscence and more in depth interviews. We interpreted the heritage information through this book, a series of unique artworks and interpretation panels made by and installed within the Ferrybridge community and this website.
